Sustainability Policy & Practices

Often sustainability is thought of in terms of simple recycling. However, recycling is only one piece of practicing being "Green". In many cases, it takes more energy and money to recycle some materials because of the time and expense of collecting, resorting and reprocessing them. Simply "recycling more" is not enough; recycling is only effective when practiced along with reusing and reducing. Triumph Expo & Events incorporates the following procedures and processes into our purchasing and production. We work hard to have a positive influence on our environment.

TEN-X
All of Triumph's "TEN-X" is re-usable. TEN-X rental products include, but are not limited to our registration counters, sign-in counters, computer kiosks, entrance units, publication bins, display counters and modular display units. TEN-X display rentals and management counters are supplied with energy star lighting.

CLEANING
Bio-degradable cleaning products are utilized for cleaning our "re-usable" products. Our cloth (drapery & skirts) department uses detergent that is biodegradable and a steamer for stain removal.

SIGNAGE
Triumph re-uses show site signage when it is not being saved by the client for future use. Our graphics department uses water based ink for printing. Chloroplast is a signage product option within our graphics department. Chloroplast is a 100% recyclable board. Additionally, Triumph utilizes re-usable "stock" aisle signs, generic registration header signs and re-uses all of our "Triumph" service signs from show to show. When our signs expire, they are recycled.

WASTEBASKETS
Triumph re-uses show site wastebaskets. Each wastebasket is lined with liners that are made of at least 30% post recycled product and are cleaned with bio-degradable chemicals.

RENTAL TABLES
Triumph uses "pre-cut" table top vinyl for table rentals. Our tables are made of wood and are re-usable.

EXHIBITOR COMMUNICATIONS
Triumph's primary method of exhibitor kit distribution is done via E-Kits. When paper kits are produced, Triumph utilizes 30% post consumer recycled paper, if client approved. Our CSR show-site service centers use recycled paper to produce on the spot exhibitor invoicing and exhibitor notifications.

RECYCLING USED CARPET
Triumph is pro-active in working with local non-profit organizations, like the Boys & Girls Club, for the recycling process of expired carpet.

TRANSPORTATION
If we are given sufficient time for purchase of items such as carpet, drape, etc. we ship by rail, which assists with air quality. Triumph provides employees that use public transportation with Flex passes that can be used for the local trains and bus systems. Additionally, Triumph partners with local contractors for items not owned and provided by Triumph. All exhibitor and show management freight is stored in one location and transported to and from the venue at one-time, minimizing transportation and thereby continuing to assist with air quality. When available, Triumph utilizes Electric Forklifts for material handling. Our customer service, freight management and small equipment storage boxes, as well as many of our hand carts have been designed and built by Triumph of renewable wood product.

TRIUMPH OFFICE
Triumph uses and reuses interoffice memo envelopes, recycles all catalogs and graphic paper products. We recycle all print cartridges, cans, white paper, cardboard boxes and plastics. Janitorial supplies: toilet paper, paper towels and napkins have post-consumer recycled content. Triumph washes and reuse - silverware, glasses, mugs and plates provided in the employee lunch room. Triumph's alarm system monitor controls not only the alarm system but also the heating and cooling cycle which we keep at a green friendly level - including not running at night or on days when the office is closed. Triumph purchases bottled water in plastic bottles that are removed and reused when they are empty.

SHIPPING & PACKING MATERIALS
Triumph makes available upon request, shipping and packing materials made of biodegradable materials.
